Pros

Product is best in the market. Once customers "get it" and adopt, its sticky and light touch. There is a lot of wind at the back and great brand recognition. Pay is above average in the industry. Stock is doing well. I trust my direct manager and enjoy my team.

Cons

Job security and internal process. There has been consistent change with leadership rolling over - bringing their people, changes, and process is chaos. It is really hard to internally operate very simple things like quoting and deal momentum. Territories and accounts don't set reps up to succeed. Don't just send me a link to a 3 year old wiki page. Lots of passing the buck. Support is terrible. Hope your customers aren't the squeaky wheel.

Pros

Very interesting and engaging work. Lots of smart people work there so you will learn a lot. It's place to learn industry best practices. Stock usually performs well so compensation is pretty good if you live in cheaper areas like Austin.

Cons

Stressful at times. On-call can be rough. Product demands can be rough. Lots of pressure to ship new things even if mounds of tech debt exist and make shipping riskier, all just to meet customer contract commitment deadlines. Detailed testing and vetting of new features could improve too. I think the comp is less sustainable for more expensive places like New York and SF
