Pros

Stable pay, I believe they still have pension benefit, but for young people it is far-far-extremely far away stretch Sometimes you get show tickets for free if people above you do not want to use them. Mainly you get the opportunity to experience how not to do things.

Cons

Then I joined, I thought it would be an opportunity for a change that I can create, I saw so many things that could be improved and it felt like change is supported. However, I discovered that it was only a game that they play, while nothing really changes, because leadership should be changed, really. Leadership is completely unqualified. Corruption on steroids. During my time they created a system that gives cash bonuses to people who got the most "votes". You can imagine that it turned into tribalism (still surprised no one sued them, but maybe I just don't know). Did I mention leadership openly tells how they are canceling home insurances for people who can potentially suffer from fires even if it is not legal in California? They are very happy they found a way. Engineering leadership all White-Asian hetero male, with extremely limited tech knowledge, but with history of bad employments. Guess whom they like and whom they don't, especially if cash is involved and no real progress as far as product or tech. Nepotism is also present, because it just makes total sense with this structure. I am not sure which type of people they try to attract: young professionals won't learn anything good (opposite of that) and experienced specialists won't accept this set up. I guess if you are really desperate for a job and looking at your retirement it might be a choice. Should you? Nope.

Pros

- environment & people very friendly - work was challenging with learning curves, but the environment allowed me to cultivate my learning

Cons

- there may be a slight generational gap, depending what team or area, regarding certain technologies. but everyone’s still smart and a professional/master in their own niches

Lots of learning, would be great for entry level
