Pros

Some lovely people and delightful customers doing good work for society. Reasonable remuneration package.

Cons

Executive team don't seem to listen to constructive feedback. In fact when you speak out you are cut dead and they pretend you don't exist. Direction and focus is dictated by large customers regardless of the stated business strategy. Recruiting in the wrong areas of the business. Product deployment process is painful and unpredictable. Executive team pays lip service to "agile" delivery principles when it suits them. Product is difficult to support with no standard environment template.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We value insights from both our current and former employees as we continue to grow as a company, and seek these out in a variety of ways including surveys, regular one-to-ones with line managers and 'Keep in touch' (KIT) interviews conducted by our People team to gather in-depth feedback. Through our annual in person kick-off event, weekly company meetings and a structure of team meetings we encourage an open culture where everyone has an opportunity to share their ideas and contribute to the direction of the business. We are pleased to hear your recognition of your talented colleagues and meaningful work happening here, as well as the positive remarks about our remuneration package. At the same time, we are genuinely sorry that you do not feel able to recommend working at Clue. If you do not feel you were able to raise this fully in your exit questionnaire and interview, and would like to discuss the matters you have raised further, please do contact us at people.team@cluesoftware.com

Pros

Clue has one of the friendliest and most supportive cultures I’ve experienced. Everyone is genuinely willing to help each other, and you always feel like you’re part of a team working toward something meaningful. It is evident that the company’s mission and values guide the work and motivate you to push hard because you know the impact it has. Staff are treated well, the benefits are solid, and the pay feels very fair for the role and responsibilities. It’s the kind of environment where you feel valued, trusted, and encouraged to grow. Another standout is the customers - working with organisations tackling some of the most interesting, complex, and important challenges out there gives you a strong sense of purpose and makes the role feel meaningful day to day.

Cons

If there’s one area that could still improve, it would be communication between departments. It’s always getting better, and there’s clearly an effort to make it smoother, but there’s still room for continued progress as the company grows.

Cons

A lot of knowledge sits heavily with longer‑standing team members At times there’s more emphasis on new features than resolving existing issues
