Pros
Being part of the CoMind team means contributing to a medical technology which could make a real difference in the world. This sense of purpose is channeled through all work, and the talent within the team is inspiring, Regular 1-1s and check-ins are held with managers across all teams consistently - meaning you always feel heard, supported, and it is easy to flag things early. The CoMind culture more widely is currently a focus for the company as it grows. Since I have joined, new perks and benefits have been introduced including daily lunch being provided, and the flexible holiday policy has meant your work-life balance is well supported. In general, the CoMind team is genuinely friendly and welcoming with people integrating well across teams and there's a real sense of community in the office. I believe for anyone early in their career CoMind can be a great place to grow and get stuck-in. You have to be prepared to take on real responsibility early, but you learn and grow at a pace that would take years elsewhere. There are also many opportunities for undertaking training and development courses, and access to learning tools.
Cons
The pace of work can be fast, and you will be juggling priorities and responding to things at short notice but this is what can be expected at any high growth start-up. If you thrive in a more structured and slower environment this may take adjustment but for the right people these demands keep the role interesting and the right amount of challenging!
