Pros
- Very friend devs, you won't feel alone here
- Great "family fun" projects with a lot of style and heart
- Decent number of entry-level position, good way to get some professional experience
Cons
- Management is just as top-down as AAA studio. Not quite what I had hoped for when you're on a project with ~ 10 people
- Poor planning causing unnecessary stress, both within individual projects and across projects
- Devs not having much influence on what projects get brought on, scope or timeline
- Little agency in day-to-day work
- Poor pay ... but the low cost-of living in the North East kinda makes up for it
