Pros
-Great co-workers; Great general care for everyone's well-being and cooperation with everyone.
-Great culture; lots of company events, feels like everyone can enjoy being in one another's presence
-Good benefits; One of the better benefit packages I have seen in Tech companies around the bay.
-Office is well-stocked and in a pretty centric location in the city
-Some of the best managers I've worked under. There is minimal micro management, and a hands off approach, more general guidance and coaching, which is ideal for growth. Managers are flexible and will work with you.
-Great Diversity, pleasantly surprised with all the different backgrounds that make Cobaltix up.
Cons
-Hands off management; There is no clear structure and outlined responsibilities. Lots of self management and self-starting energy is needed.
-Lots of learning, drinking straight from the fire hose. You will be exposed to nearly every IT process and tech possible. It is a lot to take in.
-As is life in IT and consulting, a lot of the clients do not want to invest in their infrastructure and would rather rely on break/fix. Issues that could be remedied to prevent future fixes need SBR's and account manager intervention to implement, and that is even if the client agrees to it.
