Pros

It's a smaller company but I feel as though my voice was heard & respected. Workplace flexibility. Remote working. Unlimited PTO.

Cons

Standard Benefits. A smaller company, might not work for some people.

Pros

Before the company was acquired by two oblivious people, working at Codesmith was fun. Our teams had good communication and transparency. We had a say in how to handle projects and our teams. Then everything quickly spiraled out...

Cons

First off, the insurance was laughable. Insane deductible, insane cost, little to no coverage, even on the highest tier. Unlimited PTO was a joke, because you basically had to work or were harassed when you tried to take off by management. Once the new owners came along, a huge storm cloud and shadow loomed over the company. A lot of backdoor things seemed to be going on, business dwindled to an almost complete stop, and due to that, we were pressured to try to upsell things to our existing clients in a very smarmy way. We lost any transparency with management, were disrespected on the regular, and then random friends of the new owners started getting hired but not on boarded to our tools or had any communication with the US team. Eventually the entire US team was laid off and replaced with cheap offshore labor. I doubt if this company will see the end of 2024.
