You can sit idle for months and get salary. You can go on leave (without even applying) any day anytime if you are not reporting to your manager or if he does not care.
Cons
You can be expected to work for 20 hrs a day if by chance you get into a project. You can be asked to quit any day because they don't have projects. Recession is not a reason.
