Abysmal Management: The management lacks strategic vision and direction, leading to a chaotic work environment. The upper management has no grasp on effective company management. Haphazard decision-making and constant priority changes leave employees confused and unproductive. Lack of Accountability: Cogent Communications tends to deflect blame and rarely takes ownership of its mistakes. The company prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction, perpetuating a cycle of unresolved issues. Negative Reputation: Many former customers prefer paying more for services from other providers rather than working with Cogent Communications. This indicates widespread dissatisfaction with the company's offerings. Disrespectful Treatment of Employees: Employees are subjected to disrespectful and undignified treatment, including scolding, covertly recording conversations, constant threats of performance improvement plans (PIP), and job loss. The level of micromanagement at Cogent reaches such extreme levels that it becomes a form of harassment, stifling employee autonomy and creating a toxic work environment. Free coffee and soda that's it.

Cons

Where do you even start. The company has no direction and the stock has dropped over $70 in a year. All the cutbacks that they make to cover losses come from reps compensation. You have to clock in and clock out everyday like you work in a candy factory and if you miss clocking in or clocking out they fire you. So many lazy people .They equip you with a laptop from 2017 that barely works and an iPhone SE from 2006. Most of the prospects block the numbers so cogent can't call . They have no one to sell to.
