Pros

Cognitiv has built something genuinely impressive. They’ve been using deep learning for over a decade, and the product truly drives measurable outcomes for brands, it’s not AI hype or fluff. That’s something I’m proud to be part of. The culture is a big highlight. The founders have been friends since growing up and genuinely care about the business and the people here. We come together twice a year for company-wide All Hands, which helps reinforce alignment and community. I’m lucky to have a great manager, and my team collaborates well and genuinely gets along, which makes a huge difference day to day. The three-days-a-week in-office policy strikes a healthy balance between in-person collaboration and flexibility. There’s also a strong learning and development team that offers thoughtful programming and invests in employee growth.

Cons

As with most high-growth companies, the pace can be intense and expectations are high. Growth brings opportunity, but it can also bring pressure and heavier workloads. The company recently announced they are eliminating annual merit increases in favor of a faster promotion cycle and bonus structure. While I understand the rationale, it was still a bit of a bummer and an adjustment for many employees.

Pros

The culture at Cognitiv is genuinely strong and really aligns with what leadership says it is. The people here are supportive, collaborative, and overall just great to work with. Leadership is approachable and encourages employees to share ideas, take ownership, and be involved. There are also a lot of opportunities for engagement and team building, which helps make the environment feel positive and connected.

Cons

As the company continues to grow, communication and processes can sometimes feel fast-paced or a bit inconsistent. Priorities also tend to shift quickly, so it requires being flexible and able to adapt.
