Pros

Strong Global Presence Cognizant is a leading global IT services and consulting company serving clients across multiple industries, providing exposure to large-scale projects and international business environments. Learning and Career Growth The company invests heavily in employee training, certifications, and upskilling programs, helping professionals stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. Diverse Project Opportunities Employees get opportunities to work on projects involving Data Analytics, AI, Cloud Computing, Digital Transformation, Software Development, and Business Consulting. Technology-Focused Environment Cognizant works with modern technologies and enterprise solutions, making it a good place to build technical and analytical expertise.

Cons

Project allocation can vary — your experience may depend heavily on the client, project, and team you're assigned to. Work-life balance may fluctuate during critical project phases or client deadlines. Career progression can sometimes feel slower in large organizations compared to smaller, fast-growing companies. Frequent process and compliance requirements are common in large enterprises and may feel bureaucratic to some employees.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
