Pros
Open and communicative hiring managers. Seniors very often willing to teach Junior employees, and give in-depth explanations on any given topic. "Casual but not too casual" work environment. Comfortable physical space.
Cons
Lack of HR systems, and when present, no real enforcement of usage. Taleo customized for the demands of the US recruitment team, but not quite usable for local demands. Nebulous path towards promotions. Disparity in pay between employees holding the same position with very similar responsibilities. There was work being done regarding this, but efforts of equalizing salaries of older employees with new hires were slow and drawn out. Very poor work-life balance.
