Pros

The team is nice and friendly. There are a lot of company events organized. You really like to go to work. Everything is quite transparently communicated and you can participate in circles to decide about changes within the company (holacracy). Also a lot of goodies like fruits, cerials, once a month a paid lunch together and so on. Super flexible hours and work from home policy!

Cons

So far I‘d say the only disadvantage is the salary of juniors and the small difference of salary when changing from trainee to junior developer. The badge system to achieve a higher level means usually extra work besides your usual daily project work.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
