Some nice coworkers, but not the managers/team leads.

Cons

The managers in this company do not take into consideration the employees benefit. It doesn't matter if you do real quality customer service, just the numbers should be met. Employees are put under an incredibly high stress level and their efforts are never cheered, they just get complaints if they cannot cope with the workload. Salaries are rather low compared to similar companies in the region. Eventhough serious problems were mentioned to HR in the exit interviews of many people leaving this terrible company, no changes have been done. Multiple employees left because they were freaking out at this place. I would suggest avoiding this company.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
