Pros

Insurance plan is good. HR was approachable

Cons

I can list more than 10+ 1. Lateral hires will be mapped to projects and even if you are not suitable for the job and you voice out, they come up with a rule that never exist that they can't unmap for 18 months. 2. Projects are still running in age old technologies. 3. Bonus amount of 45k in payslip is not guaranteed, to an extent it can be as low as 10k or nil, depends on company performance. 4. Pathetic to know the status update calls happen in local language 5. No chance that you will get client exposure, and yes this totally depends on the project. 6. Too much of descrimination which they say that do not exist in the organisation. 7. Even if you deserve to be rated high, they ll give it to your colleague stating last year they gave high rating for you, which I don't understand at all. Reason is, 2 consecutive high rating will earn you a promotion which they avoid. 8. No project documentation. No KT. 9. Freshers were never guided for 2 years and they just come and relax. One fine day they ask for deliverables and they fire. 10. Bad infrastructure. I stop here with the negatives. These are few things which I never thought was there in this otherwise good organisation. These are because of bad mid level management and it totally depends and varies project to project.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
