Pros

There are no pros to working for this company

Cons

-If you do not flirt with the OffShore Managers, you will NOT get a high score on your review -If you do not suck up to the OffShore Manager, you will NOT get a high score on your review. -If you do not accept what they tell you and do what they say, you will NOT get a high score on your review. -They expect you to work OT, without the OT pay -They expect the OnShore Team to cover the OffShore teams mistakes, but blame all mistakes on the OnShore Team -Upper Management was All men reporting to a woman, but they kept her out of the loop OR she just did not care. -The OffShore team was lazy -They hired people to fill the position without qualifications needed -If the OffShore team made a mistake the upper managers would pull them into a meeting for 2hours to go over every step and why they made the mistake - WASTE OF TIME -The OffShore MGRs would take all the positive feedbacks from client and share with the OffShore team when it was ALL the OnShore teams doing. -The company only gives you bonus' if they feel like -If do not start in the deparment during the time frame they see fit, they will not offer the bonus that year -Raises are scarce -Help is no where to be found from you management team or HR -HR Is useless -The 'bench' is a waste of time because you are placed in a category that has nothing to do with your skills and you cannot move up only down -The company is a joke, I do not know how they have high ratings -They say they care about their people, but there is no evidence OnShore.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
