Pros

1. Better Salary than its peers (in service based section) 2. Some good projects, provided you are lucky enough to join directly theses projects. BU/Job rotation is tough. 3. Peers are mostly good and helpful. 4. If you join as a leteral as business analyst, then you might get good work 5. Good onsite oppertunities.

Cons

1. Management does not take a stand for offshore employees. 2. A lot of projects have donkey work. If you plan to build a career in technical domain, then you need to be really lucky to get that in CTS. 3. WorkLife imbalance. 4. They might take you on good salary, but they average it out over a period of time by very litle increments. 5. HR is not very supportive. Job rotation/transfer is a possibility taking into consideration the size of the organization. But, you need internal contacts for that. HR cannot be trusted for this.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
