Pros

Company is pretty flexible in providing time off ....and the management is ok

Cons

Poor compensation policies : So far the company got away by using the ESOP as a tool to retain talent ....instead of paying a good competitive package. But now with the stock falling out of favour it is time to seriously think about fair compensation policies. lack of clear career planning : Having been a growing company for the last 10 years it was easy to provide a fast moving path to the employees. Now that it is reaching a certain level of maturity ......growth will not be all easy & readily possible ...so proper career planning needs to be implemented so that the associates used to quick jumps are not demotivated.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
