Pros

If abuse is your kink, you might like it here.

Cons

No respect for employee contributions, abysmal salary increases (Cognizant generated billions in revenue, but it wasnt as many billions as they should have, so company wide salary increases were 1% for 2024. Constant threat of layoffs, and secrecy regarding these. They do not want to risk losing worker enthusiasm before they have extracted every drop of productivity from you. You are just a number, and the rules do not apply to everyone across the company. What is appropriate/expected for one project is opposite what is appropriate/expected in another. Moving projects is also a political game. If you don't know the right people, do not expect to be reassigned from the bench. More likely, you will be retained there for 5 weeks with little to no project interviews, then laid off for failure to contribute to any project.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
