If you are looking for a easy job, this is definitely not one for you. But if you are an aspiring young person looking to advance, you are looking at the right company. The interview was pretty tough: I had go to through several rounds and a second-to last interview was a written test -- pretty challenging but I later learned it was mostly to test how I approach question, which is fair. On the job, a few times I was asked to work overtime but I got to take the next day off. I got to work on various projects, and quite often learned new skills. My supervisor was quite helpful and the seniors helped me with some challenging part: they told you where to look and at times walked me through tackling the challenges. I had to learn the new things my own time, which I did not mind at all as all had helped me to gain more knowledge and experiences (yes enrich my resume).

The pay is not amazing, but tons of opportunity to learn. COVID time was challenging but I never missed a pay-cheque and I was actually getting a pay raise!

You will involved in various of tech aspect ( Vue, React, Wechat, OC, Android, Flutter, Node.js, AWS). Yes, you need to self-learn almost everything( from front-end to back-end to DevOps ) without help.

This is a tiny (2+ people) company located in Richmond instead of Vancouver. You will get the lowest salary you can imagine. You will experience the most stressful working environment. You will get the minimum company benefits. You need to know how to guess the demands from CEO, cuz he can not explain clearly. You need to have UI/UX skill, cuz they don't have UI designer. You need type keyboard loudly, cuz CEO might consider you are not working. You need to focus on surface work, no matter how complicate is your code/logic, you need make significantly change on UI views. You need have awareness to work late, CEO may start a meeting just before the time to get off. If you are Co-op student you might need to pay extra money when file tax. They will give you empty promises such as increase salary annually which is never fulfilled.
