Pros
CP people are smart, considerate and generally appreciative. Benefits are good and there's a collaborative work environment. The company is performing well so there's relative job security.
Cons
For specialists, there are limited opportunities to move around and be considered for new roles at the company. If you're in marketing, sales, or R&D that's less of an issue but it's difficult to move - or be promoted above a certain level - if you are in a corporate function. Many people and some aspects of the human resources function are great, but in general I never felt like HR was looking out for my best interests, only the company's. Hybrid work is not as flexible as it seems to be at other companies - would be great in places with a difficult commute if the in-office days were not mandated. The Colgate way of doing this is with the minimal amount of resources possible - which includes both budget and headcount - and that can be very challenging when it comes to work/life balance throughout all parts of the company.
