Some accounts lack sufficient staff

I worked for this company for seven years, and in that time I had some autonomy: I got to create my own menus, use my own vendor contacts, and plan my own schedule as needed for providing service. My pay increased over time, but not necessarily in line with expanding corporate demands or local cost of living.

Despite many long years with College Fresh, management has only gone downhill. I had a couple good managers who appreciated the long hours of work and quality of service I provided. They know who they are. Otherwise, it was year after year of more demands, more hours, less stability, and no respect or appreciation for the physical and emotional toll inflicted by years of mismanagement. I was moved from house to house as the company scrambled to cover more houses than they had staff. I was increasingly left alone with no support and no kitchen staff. I was expected to take months of abuse from house moms who had no accountability and frequently demanded more than their budget allowed. In the end, being an employee of College Fresh means being an emotionally battered cog in their corporate machine, overworked and unappreciated until they get all they can out you.
