Pros

The students are incredible, and you will build great relationships with staff members and scholars. There is a true opportunity to change lives and support students.

Cons

Leadership is unorganized and shows favoritism toward staff based on their willingness to conform to their norms without question. There is little room for free speech, expression, or creativity in the classroom, which is met with harsh criticism and shut down immediately.

Pros

CA schools get great results for students, and you will get trained on how to be a part of that.

Cons

Harder work and more feedback than lots of comparable orgs.

Pros

Possibly the best compensation in the region; good benefits; celebrate success; a lot of personnel really care about the kids and helping them to overcome barriers and to pursue a post secondary pathway to a college or university. Administration is approachable and polite. Lots of support for students during their time in a CA school, as they transition to college and as they continue.

Cons

CULTure conformity is how you thrive. If you can snap and raise hands with excited enthusiasm when expected, you’re in! Alignment and submission are essential to thriving as an educator here. This works for some, leads to burn out and an exit strategy for others.
