Pros

Not a lot. Location is nice but other than that there aren't many positive things to say.

Cons

Where to begin. The company is running out of money, several good people have left in the last few months. There is a continual revolving door in management, every year new executives come in but the CEO eventually annoys them all.

Colligo Networks Response

I would like to thank this employee for their feedback and take this opportunity to correct some misconceptions. We just completed (3/23/15) our semi-annual employee engagement survey with a 95% participation rate. The survey is 100% anonymous and is conducted by HR, not management. These are the answers to the question: "How satisfied are you with Colligo as a place to work?": 5 - Extremely satisfied 16% 4 - Satisfied 49% 3 - It's ok 31% 2 - Dissatisfied 4% 1- Extremely dissatisfied 0% We strive for 100% satisfaction of all employees, and we are working hard to achieve that. However, overall survey scores have improved and we consider the result fairly good with an average score of 3.75 which exceeds the industry benchmark at the 50th percentile. Contrary to this post, the company is not running out of money. Sales are up year over year and quarter to quarter. The company has been successful raising money over the past two years from a number of sources. We have active and engaged investors who continue to fund the company as required.

Pros

- Some strategic adds to the leadership team in 2016 have given the culture and atmosphere a dramatic boost. There is a renewed focus from on innovation, lean methodology to deliver value, and customer success. - By and large, people and collaborative, direct in their communications, and friendly. HR pays a lot of attention to the socials and the office culture. There is a lot of focus on peer recognition. Based on the other GD reviews, I was a wary of the culture when I interviewed, but in fact it was meeting everyone face to face that convinced me to take the job; that these are problem-solving people I wanted to work with. - The location in Yaletown is great, right near Canada Line. - My compensation is fair. I shared some market data with them before I was hired and their offer was where I wanted to be. - Colligo has a solid customer base already.

Cons

- Some growing pains as the company scales up. Examples: some departments could definitely use more people, and there are some customers on older software versions which ties up resources in support. - Inter-team communication is getting better but needs to improve. There are some legacy silos that need to be broken down further. - Older building, but the location can’t be beat.

Pros

I worked here full time during a school co-op semester and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. While only a temporary employee, I was always made to feel welcome by all, and was included as a full member of internal project teams, allowing me to broaden my skills. I was also heartily included as an equal in Colligo's (frequent) staff social events, enabling me to build cross-functional relationships.

Cons

There really aren't any, but I suppose if I had to convey a negative, it would be that their product is targeting a niche within the Sharepoint space, which limits their potential market somewhat, and by extension, the possibility of realizing the accelerated growth rates that many tech companies aspire to achieve. Offering the best-designed option within a niche, however, can also be interpreted as a strong positive.
