Cons
Collins Aerospace has no direction and no vision. Constant changes in leadership and RE-ORG after RE-ORG after RE-ORG. And with these re-orgs come perpetual layoffs. Despite having a large presence in the aviation industry, Collins lacks innovation and there is tons of red tape internally that prevents innovation from happening. There are protocols for everything and layers and layers of approvals before anything can get done. Collins only keeps on growing because they keep on acquiring smaller companies. And if you're an employee of a company that gets acquired, you better buckle up. From observation, many employees from those acquired companies end up getting pushed out. If you want to prime yourself for success, be ready to play the company politics and brown-nose your way to the top.
