Pros

I look forward to coming to work just about every day because I'm met by people who are energized by their role and enthusiastic to use their skills. Plus I feel I have honest-to-goodness influence here to improve areas where I see a need, whether it's related to my role or not. We're all working to make things better for health care and health insurance, so it's not about who has the best title. Instead, it's about ideas and passion.

Cons

We always could use more hands on deck, but that's the way of a robust start-up! With rapid growth comes the need for much energy and efficiency, and the CO-OP is tackling that along with everything else.

Pros

It's an amazing company to work for, not only are you working for a company that is actually making a difference, but the "culture" is something I have never experienced before. The company really prides itself on its "culture", and reasonably so. Very casual, very fun and everything still gets done. I learned a lot and am looking forward to see where my new skills will take me.

Cons

I think the laid back culture might affect some people's ability to still maintain professionalism in the workplace. There's a work/fun balance that you need to have to work here, and most employees have that. There are a handful, that seem to act like they're in high school again, and play the politics, passive aggressive and resentment game, instead of being an adult and talking things out.

Thank you for this insightful feedback! The internship program is one we hope to continue providing for the benefit of those who come on to further their experience as well as our internal staff. Additionally, while we value our culture, the overall experience should be one which improves the day-to-day rather than damage it. We'd value the opportunity to gain more specific insights from you regarding your time at the CO-OP this summer; would you be willing to contact us at info@cohealthop.org or 720-627-8928? Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts.
