Pros
My time at Column Health made me a stronger person in the same way that steel becomes stronger when you set it on fire and hit it repeatedly with a hammer. Phenomenal coworkers. They were my only reprieve from this living nightmare.
Cons
I can't help but feel like the experience was misrepresented. Patient Experience Representative on the Communications Team is a verbose way of saying it's a job in a call center, but nobody would apply if they were honest about that upfront. At Column Health you are, above all, a team member, insofar as any group of individuals doing the same thing in the same building constitutes a team. As the saying goes, there is no I in team. This is not true. There are actually a few I’s in team, as in: “I sure wish I were allowed to take my break at the same time as any of my coworkers". “I can’t believe we only had one Spanish speaking employee during the eight months I was there”. “I can’t believe management told my coworker, a woman of color, to 'do the job she was hired for’ when she offered to run a DEI campaign at no extra compensation”. "I deserve better than this".
