Pros
Discounted cable, bonus potential, 401(k) match, benefits, good coworkers, free coffee and other beverages. They do support community service. An unforgettable experience.
Cons
The management practices are outdated. Many managers only have cable experience which limits their ability to think outside the box. Micromanagement and favoritism are obvious and widespread. They would rather constantly fix an ongoing problem than determine the source and solve it. You will be punished for asking questions or presenting a different viewpoint. Local management cannot make decisions without the approval of the Corporate Office. Human Resources will not support the employee and will quickly place you on an impossible performance improvement plan. They want you to fail. They say “Comcast Cares”, but they do not care about their customers or employees. Subscribers are dropping them at an increasing rate. Their reputation in the community is poor due to high prices and inadequate customer support. Employees resign regularly for better positions with more modern employers. If you are sick, they demand that you work at home. You have to work the day after Christmas and Thanksgiving. They begrudgingly give you a comp day later. Overtime is excessive and not appreciated. You have to take your laptop home every day. No one would steal their laptops because they are outdated and slow. Salaried employees are treated like hourly workers. It is difficult to take time off for doctor appointments. The locations of their offices are in less than desirable office parks. They do maintain their offices, but they are in the low rent areas.
