Pros

Work 5 days week. Schedule posted weekly. Customers appreciate housekeeping efforts to keep room clean and are courteous and respectful to staff. Customers leave housekeeping staff tips.

Cons

It is a franchise company that means there is basically no legal rights nor safety prograns training for employees. Zero OSHA training. Zero regards to employee safety and health. Not enough hampers to transport dirty laundry from upstairs to downstairs and across the facility to laundry room. Not enough linens to supply stock to clean rooms without waiting on laundry. Complaints by employees are not taken seriously and employees who bring up issues face reprimand about operation issues as these.

Pros

The housekeeping supervisor is a great guy. Very personable and easy to talk to. He is also very dedicated to the job and sets the bar high for customer service.

Cons

The owners do not value their employees. Low wages and lack of tips make the position very discouraging. There are never enough sheet sets or towels to replenish the rooms and housekeepers end up hiding towels from each other just to get their job done. One dryer is down and the part to fix it has been sitting in the office for over a month. However, the owners could care less about sending someone to repair it. Meanwhile, we go hours waiting for towels and sheets to dry. What could possibly be a decent position is made more difficult by greedy, uncaring owners.
