Pros
The organization serves a needed service. Good place to learn about the food business and expand industry skills, free food, some workers are truly passionate about food injustice and are sociable/friendly.
Cons
Underpaid for the amount of work that you are doing. Processes and procedures are disorganized. Even though the company is "diverse" workers of color are rarely promoted into leadership positions and tend to be ridiculed more than other folks in the organization. Lack of diversity in senior management team. There's internalized racism, gossip, bullying, and lack of privacy. High turnover is common here.
