Pros
I began working for Common Threads a little over 3 years ago. When I first started, there was a period of disorganization and high turnover. Fast forward a year and I can say that it has GREATLY improved. Mangers/supervisors genuinely care about their employees. All employees share the same passion and vision. There is a great deal of mutual trust and respect between staff and upper management. Leadership team asks for employee feedback all the time and not only listens but also acts on the feedback. Common Threads is a very encouraging place to work and has a entrepreneurial work culture. Bonus: remote work opportunities.
Cons
Like many non profits, be prepared for a lot of "other duties as assigned" without extra compensation. This job can easily have you working over 40hrs/week but is not expected or encourage.
