Pros

Healthcare. Otherwise there isn't much to be proud of.

Cons

I struggle to see how any company could run like this and stay afloat. The majority of the managers got their positions through personal relationships rather than on the merit of their applications. Many of them had been security guards or waitstaff, and for most this was their first time in an agricultural setting, and their lack of experience was on display. As a result of their incompetence and insecurity, their preferred reaction to people with good ideas and experience was to lose their tempers and bully them into submission. For six months they promised the best pay in the industry, and the highest quality products, but after six months of growing contaminated product that could barely be sold and with an expansion project months and millions behind, they cut all hourly employees to 30/week indefinitely. We were told we could get another job to make ends meet or just use the time to "enjoy the sun". At this point most hourly employees were already making below the industry average wage. They forced us to use an overcrowded locker room that created a clear fire hazard, and share one toilet between more than 30 male employees, which was disgusting and degrading. I constantly saw my female coworkers crying over their treatment by managers, as many of them learned "leadership" from a sadistic sports coach or drill sergeant. This company actually makes me rethink my stance on the legalization of marijuana, because if these people are going to be industry leaders then I'd rather live under prohibition

Pros

Being let go and never having to clock in there again

Cons

After working there for almost 5 years I was let go, and even had it in writing that they terminated my position only for them to deny my unemployment. Repeatedly, I couldn’t even get my paystubs from HR. Although all the men that were let go with me were able to collect their benefits.
