Pros

My Coworkers are good people who are trying to do their best.

Cons

They really don't care about their employees. You are just a number. I have worked so many hours unpaid for them because their expectations are impossible within your paid shift and you end up staying over 2 hours a day working on notes. Their software for notes is the worst I have ever seen.

Pros

Good work life balance. Diverse groups of people. You aren't just stuck behind a desk all day. Every day holds something different. You will interact with a lot of different people. You have to learn a lot on your own which is a plus for some.

Cons

There seems to be no plan as to what the IT department wants to do. The individual teams are very compartmentalized. Certain teams and employees will treat others very poorly. Suggestions and concerns are rarely if ever followed through on, and if they are, they take years to be implemented. The pay is not worth the stress you will deal with most of the time. There seem to be a lot of employees there who have an almost indescribable title and do very little work. At least once a year they will eliminate an entire team of people, most who have worked there for a long time, and if any employees are kept they are moved to another team completely outside their knowledge and work responsibilities. They say that very corporate "we are all one big family" type of talk but you don't actually feel it. You will be blamed for other's mistakes and your triumphs are usually rewarded to someone else. There are a lot of meetings about "customer service" that are almost condescending to working adults who have all worked real jobs. You will have to attend mandatory meetings that have little to anything to do with your job, taking up valuable time. Example: we had a meeting about ethnic hair. This was an hour long mandatory meeting about the history and importance of hair with different races and ethnicities. Why? I have no clue. What did this have to do with IT? Your guess is as good as mine.
