Questionable leadership practices and ethical issues - Anonymous employee Compadre (CA) Employee Review

While I had the opportunity to work on some interesting and unique projects, the lack of structure, gross mistreatment of employees, and above all - questionable leadership practices - are significant issues not to be overlooked. A handful of people left within the last few months of my time there, due to the unprofessional behavior of the two Co-Presidents. The employees who most frequently had to interact with both of them, ranging in seniority from executives to coordinators, were often left feeling belittled, frustrated, and on some occasions, offended by gender-biased and racially ignorant comments that were made. In addition, falsified capabilities presentations to clients and problematic revenue tactics were some of the other ethical issues plaguing the agency. I would caution prospective candidates and all industry professionals alike to tread carefully when engaging with Compadre. The reality of working there was not at all reflective of what is often being touted during the hiring process.
