Pros
The people one works with, whether employees or volunteers, are wonderful. My direct supervisor, Chef Stephanie Casterlins loves her coworkers and treasures the volunteers who work alongside the paid staff. Joy and hard work come together creating lighthearted labor.
Cons
When there are special events, one is expected to work very long hours. Additionally, upper management would benefit by coming alongside those who are down in the trenches so as to get a sense of the needs of the worker and encourage them in a more informed way. Someone who feels appreciate will go above and beyond for you.
