Pros
-Small team (20ish employees) without a written rule book so you can make each position your own and quickly gain more autonomy over your work
-Staff are surrounded by very intelligent clients so you are always in a state of learning
-Ability to travel
-Staff are encouraged to use their PTO and are left alone when OOO
-Owners are willing to step in and help at any time (even with tasks that you normally wouldn't give to a CEO!) and have an open door policy with all staff.
-Fun/casual work environment
I was hired as a Coordinator and received 3 promotions during my 7-year tenure, leaving as a Director of my own department. High-quality work, dedication to their clients, and innovation are steadfastly encouraged and compensated.
Cons
I wouldn't recommend this job to anyone who hates traveling! Unless you are in the IT or administrative departments, you will most likely have to travel (sometimes only in Florida and sometimes across the country) anywhere between once per quarter to once per week.
There are busy seasons so it isn't always a 9-5/clock-in and clock-out situation. Management doesn't require OT but sometimes the work and client needs do!
