Pros

Now is not the time to join Compassion. Christ has left the building and took respect with Him.

Cons

I do not recommend joining Compassion's IT department at this time. The new CFO has threatened to fire 20 people in IT leadership. He has put 15 people on correct action without cause. The new CFO uses foul language in meetings with staff and thinks threats motivate people.

Pros

I can't say enough good things about Compassion. I've been here almost eight years, and I have no plans of changing that any time soon. The holistic model they have for child sponsorship. They have a similar holistic view of their employees. There's a strong focus on work-life balance. They make a generous contribution to our retirement plans. I may not have this quote exactly right, but I believe the president of Compassion has said, "The most important thing about you to Compassion is not what you do, but it's who you are." And I believe him.

Cons

No place is perfect, and the bigger they are, the less perfect they are. I wish it didn't take as long as it does to bring about change when it is needed, but it's a big ship and it's slow to turn. However, to paraphrase a funny quote, "Compassion is a lot like pizza. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty good."
