For-profit hospice. No seriously. It's ONLY for profit. - Hospice Chaplain Compassus Employee Review

Pros

The collegiality among the clinical staff was fun and supportive.

Cons

Management sucked any joy out of this job for me and my colleagues. If I wanted to spend more than the minimum amount of time with the patient (which is really bad pastoral care), I would need to write individual care plans for each visit. Plus we were barked at to see more patients in a day. This all disincentivized chaplains from doing our jobs, and I ended up losing my job because I did not go along with their "do the bare minimum" mentality.

Meaningful work, supportive team environment, opportunity to help families during difficult times.

Cons

Due to my compassion, it can be emotionally demanding at times and challenging to separate work from personal emotions.
