Pros

The pay was really good if you had a few jobs close together that took some time to complete or one really long job. They pay per quarter-hour for your onsite time and the rates were really good, so it was easy to make between $200 and $300 per day. After-hours rates enabled me to sometimes make more than $500 in a single day. If you are good at following instructions carefully and are dedicated to doing things properly without taking shortcuts, the company will fill up your schedule when possible and defend you whenever problems arise and you come under fire.

Cons

They do not seem to care about using field techs efficiently and you'll frequently cross paths with other technicians when traveling to another site. You will often end up commuting very long distances between jobs while being stuck in traffic and this severely hinders your ability to make good money at times--you are NOT paid for travel unless you are being sent to a place that is over 1.5 hours outside your normal work area. It's really the nature of the beast, but they sometimes will hire too many contractors (field techs) to meet future demands and you will starve until other contractors quit or work picks up.

Pros

Work life balance, income potential, easy product to sell, not taxed as heavily as corporate att.

Cons

Commission structure, district manager, corporate involvement, lack of appreciation, feeling completely expendable (and reminded of such)
