Pros

1. CEO: First and foremost: our CEO is pure gold. Seth is everything you could ask for in a CEO. Even while Conductor is in a very interesting time right now with WeWork and potentially being sold, I can confidently say that there is no other CEO out there that I would rather entrust to this situation. 2. Leadership: After 10 years in my career, it’s so important to me to have a leadership team and especially a CEO that I trust and respect. I have the ultimate trust and respect for our CEO and almost every single person on our leadership team, from C-suite to VP's and Directors. 3. Employees: While Conductor is growing very rapidly, we still have hundreds of veteran employees who have been at Conductor for 5-10 years and those individuals are truly top notch. I am sometimes even intimidated by the caliber of my co-workers, which is honestly a good thing. I'm challenged every day to be the best version of myself and to try to find my niche and value in a company full of all-stars. On a personal level, I connect with so many of my co-workers and am so impressed with their kindness and humility. 4. Benefits: I'm about to become a father for the first time and I get 4 months paternity leave!!! It's difficult to describe how fortunate I feel to enjoy this time in my life and knowing that my company fully supports me. In terms of salary, I would be hard pressed to find a comparable wage in a similar role at any other company. I definitely feel valued. 5. Growth: I'm blown away at the systems and frameworks installed at Conductor to support and facilitate my growth professionally and personally. We have teams of folks working on these systems and always evolving and improving them. It's so cool to see that we pay people to focus on empowering and supporting our employees. Again, I feel very fortunate to work somewhere with these platforms in place. 6. Culture: the culture at Conductor is as good as any company could possibly hope to for. Our culture is defined not just from the top-down but very much also from the bottom-up. Everyone is empowered to take initiative and to have a voice. All walks of life are supported but are also encouraged to speak-out when they might feel under-represented. I've experienced this personally and it's awesome to know that I have a voice and my perspective is respected and welcomed. I love my co-workers. My manager always encourages me to put my life before my job and to constantly seek balance and take time off when I want it or need it.

Cons

I could try to think of some but they would simply be pessimistic views on the reality of work and the symptoms of working in a fast paced, competitive environment. There are plenty of challenges at Conductor but as long as you have the right attitude, Conductor supports you and is very much focused on making sure you're fulfilled and supported in your role.

Pros

Good experience with the people so far, feel like everyone is generally friendly and it's a small enough company that it's easy to connect with people to learn about their positions. Good experiences so far with managers who are generally warm and friendly. Relatively good work life balance, you work remotely all month of August and you can travel.

Cons

Biggest con personally is the low pay, just among the lowest you can make in a starting position and it takes about 1.5-2 years to scale into a better place as an SDR which is odd to me because its a position that on average folks spend that amount of time in before moving up. I believe it causes higher turnover in the first year as an SDR and would love to see a higher starting pay and clearer path forward to improve motivation and retention. I also wish they had mentioned in the interview that commission is 50% taxed, I understand this is common practice but didn't feel like there was great transparency on this. Lastly, feel like theres an unbalanced approach to in person office culture, it doesn't seem to be applied equally across all teams (for instance the Sales team seems to have the most pressure to be in person, most other teams it seems are are able to work remotely more flexibly). Just makes it confusing when you can ask to work remotely due to weather or personal reasons, only to show up and find that you are the only one in office which can be frustrating and cause unnecessary tension.
