Pros

* Decent tech stack * Lovely office * Flexible on remote working * Friendly colleagues

Cons

* Really monotonous work. I've mostly updated configuration repositories or done simple bug fixes, both of which are both below my skill level * Some pretty egotistical engineers who aren't as technically strong as they'd like to believe; they just love to conflate 'abstraction' and 'indirection', and shoehorn their supposed understanding of big O notation into discussions in which it makes no sense, for example * Way too many middle managers, most of whom pester you constantly and organise pointless meetings just to look busy, all while gesticulating excessively; don't expect to be able to get into a coding groove at this place * Too much involvement from external consultancies; currently we rely on FOUR different vendors, all of whom have their own agendas for growing * Extremely political. Despite the sexist content found in GQ, they'll happy provide female engineers with token promotions just so they appear progressive. While I agree there's an under-representation of women in tech, it's really a cheap, patronising opportunity for the company to brag on LinkedIn

Pros

You’re wealthy enough to be relaxed, but not wealthy enough to be careless.

Cons

but NYC’s costs prevent true luxury unless income is much higher.

Pros

Great to be in proximity to such amazing brands like Vogue, Vanity Fair and the New Yorker

Cons

Pay is absolutely criminal unless you're "bonus eligible." Another billion dollar company crying poverty. Also, absolutely zero possibility of advancement.
