Pros
Pros: - The diverse array of environmental training I received to aid me later on in this work field at a different environmental company. - Some of the people I met over my years.
Cons
Cons: - Shocking/extremely unfair salaries and reimbursement (even vacation wise) for the amount of hard physical work contributed and long (sometimes overnight) hours put in. - Title promotions and recognition move at an extremely slow pace compared to timelines I have seen elsewhere. - There seems to be a workplace/business structure of: hire new college graduates, train them, and have them work extremely hard with very little pay until they burnout/leave and then repeat... Instead of properly recognizing and rewarding hardworking current employees so that there's a culture of retention and growth. - There is no real HR department or the like at Coneco to aid employees. - The benefits and maternity packages offered are not great. - MOST importantly (and sadly), I experienced virtual (sexual) harassment, after I left this company, from a former Coneco coworker of mine (that still works at Coneco to this day - Sept 2022). The virtual harassment was consistent and became very very uncomfortable. I reached out to numerous other former Coneco employees (all female) and they had experienced the same harassment from the same current employee. We brought this information to Coneco and the response was unenthused and no punishments or actions toward justice have been made, at all. I share this information hoping to protect incoming female workers or those considering Coneco.
