Pros
> Mainly remote, go into office once a month.
> Pay is amazing! Bonuses are not guaranteed but I have received one every year I have been employed.
> SPED Department is particularly helpful and are the BEST department in the school. If you do want to work here, aim for SPED.
> Preset curriculum by Pearson although I would not recommend it.
Cons
> Work overload (expect to work well into the afternoons on only daily tasks)
> Leadership can be clique-ish and prioritizes teachers that are willing to overwork or sacrifice personal time to carry out teaching duties.
> Leadership will use guilt tripping tactics on employees when concerns about overload and stress management are brought up; will emphasize that you became a teacher "because you love kids and should be willing to do whatever for them" even if it means jeopardizing yourself.
> Leadership seems based more on who you know, rather than what you can do. No linear career progression.
> Lack of student accountability, blame is primarily on you despite lack of student engagement or expectations set by the school.
