There is a disconnect between some heads of department and the wider staff as well as a couple of individuals that just made working there incredibly difficult and uncomfortable.
The condescending and patronising attitude particularly towards women in the client / project management team caused a lot of stress, upset people and derailed accounts. Despite multiple complaints about this, as well as the lack of actual work and support coming from them due to the exceptionally important ping pong / pool games, this negative attitude is rewarded repeatedly.
Some members of the paid team would ignore genuine concerns and messages altogether. Whether this is ego or general rudeness is unclear but this very much came from the top down.
The treatment towards individuals with mental health issues from HR was concerning to the point where coming into the office caused anxiety and panic. Some of them spent more time partying and less time supporting.
