Pros

The team (on the lower end - designers, architects ect, - NOT MANAGEMENT) are approachable, kind, helpfull all that good stuff. If you like to socialise a bit then good if not you will basically not talk to anyone. They stock fruit. THATS IT FOR PROS

Cons

Management. every interaction is either passive aggressive, or you will be spoken to as if you are 5 years old and lesser a human (Imagine a conversation kindly telling a child throwing stones is not good - same vibes!) if you think you will pass probation, dont celebrate too early because they will flip something THEY are responsible for onto you and now your 3 months becomes 4 or 5. Whatever they say in the interview IGNORE it, its all lies. There is a clear monopoly over non partners/associates as if its 2 competing teams. as a current employee reading previous reviews on here i cant pick out a single lie, genuinely theres no exaggeration. ive seen the nicer employees get told off for things they were not told to do, and if they were informed...it needed doing 10mins ago so theres no chance of success. My advice - for any role at Conran - DONT APPLY

Pros

First and foremost, Conran has some of the best designers in the game! The studio is fiercely talented and is an excellent environment for learning and honing your skills. Everyone is incredibly friendly, genuine and dedicated. Marketing and social teams are just as creative as the designers and do a fantastic job to bring the studio together for events and fun. The office is located in the heart of Clerkenwell with plenty of opportunity to network with suppliers. Clerkenwell is also host to great events for your design social calendar.

Cons

Lack of ambiguity. There is a common misalignment between staff and management resulting in rigid and tense environment. Regression on flexible working. Although, the intentions of this were to streamline communication within teams, this move had a negative impact on morale and eroded confidence and trust between staff and management. Lots of people joining, but also lots of people leaving. Conran and Partners seem to have issues motivating employees to stay. Creates disorder with teams and inconsistencies for on-going projects.
