Pros
Salary, remote-work, flexibility, events and talented people.
Cons
Unorganized, lacks structure, lacks experienced HR, no feedback system, lacks processes and accountability, senior leadership incompetent and favored by the CEO. 👉🏽 The CEO made bad hiring decisions for the first 4 years of the company which led to the company’s foundation being rocky. For the first 4 years, the company struggled with creating a vision and mission statement. 👉🏽 The website was something the whole company couldn’t agree on which was not supposed to be the whole company’s responsibility, just a few. 👉🏽 Many senior leaders from big centralized companies were brought to run a decentralized company without any training or mentorship. All those men and some women who joined weren't and aren’t flexible to adapt to the future of work. 👉🏽 The company is majority men and without the very few women who care about diversity and inclusion, the company doesn’t care or prioritize this area at all. 👉🏽 They fired highly talented individuals who took the company’s brand globally. 👉🏽 They hired a CMO who had no experience and costed the company a couple of million in ethereal summits that brought no ROI. 👉🏽 The company to this day, April 2022 has not decided on equity and shares. They are dragging the process for as long as ConsenSys has existed. I could write more but I think you get the point. If you read the whole thing, then I hope you make the best choice for yourself. Even with the bad reviews, it looks like the company is appealing and doing well, but its a facade because you will face many obstacles and challenges and the constant friction with difficult leadership will affect your self-worth and self-esteem. So many talented individuals globally joined this company left leaving disappointed, disrespected, unacknowledged and unappreciated. Go work for a company that will lift you up rather than break you down.
