Pros

The staff is always friendly and they are flexible with hours if you ever need time off. As an intern, they were very accommodating for school as well as giving me projects that help me grow in my future professional field. Close to Ball State so I have a very short drive to work.

Cons

You will have to work every other Saturday for four hours.

Pros

Flexible schedules, easy to get hired, quick start dates

Cons

Revolving door of employees, poor management, lack of opportunities to grow, poorly maintained properties and buildings, incredibly low budget, underhanded behavior, lack of available training. I worked for CPM for nearly two years. In that time I held 3 different positions. CPM cares only about profit. I understand businesses are built by profit, but CPM treats people as disposable machines. They repeatedly tell you how CPM is one big family, but that "family" will turn on you for a dollar and never apologize for the damage they do. My two years there were mostly a nightmare. I would like to point out that I only made it two years because of the pandemic. There were no other jobs hiring during 2020 which forced me to stay at CPM. I saw so many coworkers quit that I was nearly always working short staffed. I saw the CEO cut every corner possible which always cost more in the long run. CPM has no pride in their work or properties. They view their tenants as a commodity and they do not treat workers or others with respect. Office politics are insane at CPM. One of the least competent employees in the company was given a great deal of power because she is dating the owner. This proved utterly disastrous during my tenure. She made so many mistakes that only a rookie would make such as canceling critical waste contracts and not hiring replacements and failing to pay property taxes on time, but because she is in a relationship with the owner the rest of of us were forced to solve the problems and there were never any consequences to her personally. Her poor performance cost everyone else in the company and we all suffered, yet nothing will ever be done about her. This is the crux of the problems at CPM. Management lacks the experience, skill, and education required to make the right decisions and the company has no moral fiber when it comes to doing the right thing. The only member of management with adequate experience is the CEO, but he is so stuck in the past that his leadership is wholly ineffective. CPM is a company that knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing.
