Pros

The $15/hr pay rate and the call center being within 10-15 min drives of several fast food places are the only pros I can think of. Oh. There's an Avanti market and filtered water machines (when they're operational). The Cup Noodles, when available, are a little over a dollar. You get a free coffee cup too.

Cons

The staff mentioned a 3 wk training program, but beware: it's only 1.5 days of classroom training. The rest of it is pretty much nesting, where you're taking live calls out on the floor with limited to no supervision. Definitely NOT for you if you're looking for a lengthy period of classroom training, and/or if you've never worked in a call center before. There's too much stress on sales and overcoming objections. It might be a pro if you're an expert salesperson. If you're weak in sales, or just prefer customer support, too bad. If you're on foot, you're a 15 min walk away from the Fry's grocery store and Denny's. Not great if you aren't into walking or sprinting in a 45-min lunch period. For breaks, I would recommend using the Avanti market or asking a friend for a quick ride. The attendance policy is as harsh as others say it is. If you even THINK of calling out-ONCE-during your first seven weeks of employment, you're gone. Out. Goodbye. Doesn't matter what your reason is. Bye. There is NO grace period for clocking in, and you cannot clock in 5 mins early without disciplinary action. Not at all a scenic office. Not nearly enough team events to make up for the harshness of the policies. There weren't first-day treats, and you aren't treated to too much else, outside of free cereal bars, filtered water and a coffee mug. Reese's peanut butter cups are $2.98 at the Avanti market. Coffee packets are a $1.00. It all adds up. And don't forget how there's nothing complimentary, outside of your cereal bars, sometime-y water filters and coffee cup. No food trucks. The management makes light of you taking live calls very early. I might be missing some. I am only three days into training. Hopefully, by the time you read this, I'll have resigned. Hopefully that's enough to help you steer clear.

Pros

Consumer Cellular has an incredibly supportive culture where leadership, fellow trainers, and other departments work together and genuinely want people to succeed. I feel trusted to lead classes, coach new hires, and contribute beyond just delivering training. The role allows me to use my strengths in teaching, coaching, and developing others while making a meaningful impact on employees' growth and confidence. The remote work environment, work-life balance, stability, and opportunities for continuous learning make it an enjoyable place to work. Most importantly, I feel valued, supported, and empowered to do my job effectively, which has made this one of the most positive work experiences of my career.

Cons

The role requires a high level of energy and engagement each day, and advancement opportunities may be more limited depending on organizational needs. However, these challenges are relatively minor compared to the overall positive experience and support provided by the company.
