Pros

1. Great office location in Gastown. Free gym membership. Great shower with free towel service. 2. Awesome co-workers. I made more friends here than previous jobs. 3. Free coffee!!! 4. I learned a lot in a short amount of time I worked there.

Cons

1. High turnover. REALLY, REALLY, HIGH. Don't get comfy here. Keep your options open. 2. CEO had a very bad temper. When he's in the office, the morale is really LOW! 3. Timelines were very hectic. High pressure to perform and deliver in very short timeframes. 4. Salary a bit low for the industry. I took a pay cut so I could just get employed. 5. They hired a bad contracting company full of high paid consultants to re-develop their core product (MyWurld Travel Platform). These consultants just milked the company but delivered a really bad product.

Pros

The product itself was a great idea and the employees were great to work with. There were very little politics at this level as middle and upper management did their best to shield us from the CEO. The office had a good location and great facilities. At our Christmas party in 2014, they had open bar that almost exclusively featured champagne and it was a good one too, either Moet , Dom or Cristal.

Cons

Former CEO/owner was very emotional and abusive. It was not uncommon for him to swear at team members and senior management. When he was in the office, morale was very low which resulted in an unprecedented amount of turnover including departure of a president, multiple VPs and 2 C level executives. The financial situation was very bad despite the fact that an investment firm had given the company over 30 million dollars. Just over a year after the champagne Christmas party, the company had gone bankrupt and was 60 million in debt.
