Pros
It's really easy to get promoted. Just look busy, create a lot of fuss around whatever you're doing, and stay around well past 6pm (I find 8.30-9pm is the sweet spot). And everyone will pat you on the back and tell you what a stellar job you're doing. Even if you output very little in terms of value. You can be seen a superstar. (Presuming you follow my advice above) The graduate pay isn't bad, and you do get pay raises annually. However, this is purely about how long you've been at the company as opposed to what you output. (Again, read above) Bracknell has gotten a little better with it's new town regeneration. Most mildly ambitious people move on pretty quickly and join companies that aren't horse excrement. I see this as a positive as it acts as a litmus test for whether you're ambitious or not.
Cons
Well, where do I start? It's run by a complete sociopath, who in despite of having excellent social skills and coming across very likable. Is an absolute monster. He pretends to care about you, pretends that he really likes you etc. However it's an act, and in reality he'll turn on you in a matter of seconds. He's done this to several members of staff over very petty things. Furthermore, the product and the technology are absolute rubbish. Most of the core code is custom rubbish written decades ago which has regular errors. It's just a good thing nobody has targeted us for a hack or anything, not that there's anything worth hacking.
